Vaatsaalyaa Charitable Trust for Education
Vaatsaalyaa Charitable Trust for education under the Chairmanship and trusteeship of DR. Kappil Kishor and his wife Shivangi Kishor provided a platform for new gen budding designers to showcase their talent by nurturing unhidden talent with right guidance and mentorship, at CRW adding to the great cause of creating awareness about “ CANCER”.
The collection presented at runway by the budding designing students were inspired with a beautiful thought and step to promote the Indian textiles and weavers globally.
In this collection they worked with an Indian textile 'Ikat' and designed the western outfits. In this way they added a twist to a traditional textile and made it the choice for western wear which could be carried in any season.
Talking about the colour scheme, the palette had shades of green representing the soothing impact to eye and environment. Green itself gives a refreshing and natural appeal to the collection.
Added further, the student designer Tanisha Chawla from New Delhi YMCA also showcased the Collection based on 'Ajrak' print which is designed as the combination of printed with plain fabrics. Here the colour scheme used was very natural and earthy keeping in mind the soul of our mother earth and its natural treasured heritage.
The head ramp was graced by the super model “LAKSHMI RANA” who walked as the showstopper to praise the budding designers.
When asked, DR. Kappil Kishor stated that
“they have designed western wear which are smart, stylist & comfortable .they are easy to handle and can be experimented by trying out different looks with add-on of accessories.”
